On August 13, 2009, Consul General David Brown attended a ceremony at Kunming's famous Stone Forest to commemorate a sister park agreement between Kunming's Stone Forest Park and the Mammoth Caves National Park in the United States.  "This collaborative work," said Consul General Brown, "supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development, serves as a strong example of the diverse nature of environmental cooperation between the United States and China."
